Donna Marie is an enthusiastic, highly talented and hard-working Trance DJ based in Northampton (UK), and despite DJ'ing for only three years, she can regularly be seen playing across the UK. Besides her clubbing gigs, she also hosts a fortnightly two-hour radio show titled Twisted Shores on Sense.fm, and another weekly show Entry2Heaven for discovertranceradio.com
Donna is a very versatile DJ that always delivers a killer set - whether it be a progressive warm-up or a driving peak-time set. Donna loves most styles of Trance music and covers everything from Progressive Trance through to Uplifting and Melodic Trance, and also Tech-Trance - all of which can be heard in her club sets and radio show. Her influences are Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, Super8 & Tab, Sander Van Doorn and Marcel Woods.
In 2008, Donna was confirmed as resident DJ for 'Inferno' in Coventry until its demise later that year. Throughout the duration of her residency, Donna showed her versatility by playing both peak-time and closing sets - and regardless of what time she played, she always recieved a good crowd reaction.
During 2009, Donna Marie has played warm-up sets for 'Off The Leash' and 'Re-Vival' in her hometown of Northampton, plus a peak-time set for 'Movement' in Oswestry. She also made her debut appearance for a brand new Trance event in Banbury called 'Odyssey' where she also played a two-hour, peak-time set. To round the summer off nicely, Donna was confirmed as resident DJ for another new Trance night in Banbury called 'Beat Logistix', where she was seen playing on the last Saturday of each month. Playing for Beat Logistix saw her playing alongside the likes of Ben Nicky, Scott Beaumont (Elusive DJs), Matt Farmer, Tom Bailey, Miguel Del Bosque, Steve Hilling, Joe Woodruff, Ben Bridges, Kristen Johnsen and Chris Marsh - plus resident DJ and promoter, Carl Briggs. The remainder of 2009 saw her playing for the likes of Funkdeluxe and AudioLiquid. In December 2009, on Donna's 30th birthday, she made her debut at the mighty Emporium in Coalville playing for Funk Deluxe as part of the Cream Classics event, featuring on the same line up as Jamie Harrison, Tall Paul, Graeme Park, John Kelly, Nick Rafferty, George Kafetzis and JMF.
Besides Trance, Donna has also played Electro gigs in the past, and she also enjoys Tech-House. Donna always remains open minded, and has never been one to pigeon-hole herself into one genre.
Donna has always had a hunger for music from a very early age. She had a keen interest in music as early as the 1980's, and this continued throughout the 1990's, where she tried mixing using two tape decks! It was only in 2005, where a trip to Ibiza made her determined to buy her first set of decks, where things really progressed for Donna - and she's never looked back since!
Now, her friendly nature, enthusiasm and determination to succeed looks set to make her a name to look out for in the future - particularly with 2009 being the most successful of her DJ'ing career so far!
